Akai MPK

Postby carpalstunna on Thu Feb 03, 2011 10:21 am

I recently bought a Akai MPK25 and have noticed while using the keyboard on soft synths and especially my true piano plugin, the note response is just a little bit delayed. I also noticed that if I try to play a few quick notes it is a little behind or wont play them at all. Very hard with some piano licks and timing to get it work right. Seems like anything faster than an 8th note it wants to turn into an 8th note. Anyone have any advice on settings? I know it comes with a setup cd that I havent really used. Any recommendations on settings in there, I am guessing that is how you change it. Doesnt seem to have anything on the actual controller except the presets for certain programs that are plugged in.

Thanks for any advice.

Seems like you need to change the latency settings in your daw. Find out where it is in your daw settings and there should be a slider bar or something of the like where you can move it to adjust latency. That should fix the timing.

What daw are you using? Shouldn't be a setting on the controller though, pretty sure that the latency setting would fix you up.
