Free VST,AU plugins are here!!

What's the best way to use software plugins in the virtual console in your sequencer? DX, VST, TDM, RTAS, Audiosuite. How these are used for tracking and mastering are subjects for discussion here.

au Universal Binary effects and instruments

Postby guitarmatt on Sun May 13, 2007 9:51 am

I was having a heck of a time finding au plugins that work on an intel mac until I came acoss this podcast at sonicstate.com:

http://www.sonicstate.com/articles/article.cfm?id=121

That page is the program notes from the podcast and has links to a bunch of useful and solid universal binary au plugins. All together they seem like they'll complement (or replace) the standard Garageband plugin collection pretty well.

This is a link to a site where you will find free and legal plugs galore. Many of my plugs I found here. I've used several for a couple of years, no problems yet.

didn't see this one in the list...
it's a pretty cool guitar amp sim. it's got lots of cabinet and mic options, and is fun to play with, and has some good sounds to boot!

I didn't like those SSL freebies (and I'll hoover up anything, me!) They're freebies, but not VOXENGO freebies.

Might try out that halloween one that's going for the second year now:

Question
What is X-Orcism and what does it do?

Answer
X-Orcism is a fun, free plug-in which transforms vocals into scary Halloween noises from the crypt!

So, in absence of a sinister, expensive plugin which transforms vocals into hilarious Easter noises from the restaurant I think I'll take it.
