We live in a world of superhighways, not only physically, but mentally as well. Yet the human mind is one of many paths, most ignored are the darker, less illumined ones. However, sometimes due to chance or accident, we end up on a desolate and deserted road. The great poets and writers have been there and came back to write about it. Let me give you a guided tour.
Enjoy!

This one was recorded in 1995. It came at a time where I had several paths open. Your hearing me and my guitar. Most of the sounds came from the Wavestation and proteus 3 with a handful of samples on the akai x7000. Recorded using Logic Atari and Quad studio (an early digital 4 track).

Lyrics
The Lost Trail
______________________
Deep past those highways
There is a lost trail
When The earth begins to get soft
and your spirit runs aloft

Past the Gate
Into t he black woods
You play a simple melody
Await the wood's answer
A tiny little trail unfolds

The wood seems oddly Familiar
And you begin to remember
the forgotten chords
the pathway
through the darker woods

Sudden flashes of illumination
Lights up the path about you so you can
stay on the tune
imagining the Wood could possibly
be suggesting these chords

And watching you strum along the trail
Directing you
Deeper into the melodic being
The trees are whispering
the truths about you

You go.
You enter a clearing
The wood is swaying to the sound
A flash Illumines the Forest from
end to end
You realize:
You are in its arena
Its Playing your guitar
The wood divulges a message
just for
You

You are at the center of all paths.
Any step you take leads to a different world.
