Studio Central began on September 21, 2002. Before that, there was a small discussion board was on TweakHeadz Lab called “Ask your Questions Here!” which ran from 1999. Many of its posts were ported over. Since then it has become a large and vibrant community and we have built a huge archive of information on recording studios.
There is tremendous studio wisdom within these forums. Its all here for you and its all free. The more you dig, the more you will find. The board has several search engines. There is the standard forum “word search” which works best on single words and two google search engines.
My goal is nothing less than to provide the best, friendliest, and most interesting online community experience for those into studios, from small 4 track cassette rigs to massive multi room operations.
I want this to be a community that helps others wherever they are in their process. I encourage everyone who wants to help to post what they have to say.
To have a great forum, we need to have solid rules. We have been successful so far because we have strong rules that are maintained. As a member of studio-central, you are in a strong community. Do your part to keep us thriving. Follow the rules. Here they are. Read them all, and carefully.
I'd like for everyone to post a short introductionof who they are and where they are at when you get a bit of time.
I'd also really appreciate it if you could help us out by posting a review of a few of your pieces of gear in theGear Reviews section.
You get to unlock a lot of cool features when you register. You can trust that unlike other boards like this I will not give your address to the spammers! I get over 200 spam emails a day due to my participation on the web and I will not do this to you!
Anyway, hope you like what I have done. Respond with feedback if you like.
