Only post a question once. Please do not post the same question in multiple forums. One question, one post. If I see you posted the same question in two forums your second question will be locked or deleted. We do not need to separate threads of people answering the same question. It wastes everyone's time, especially those looking for an answer.
Also, do not load up a post with multiple questions. How would you like to answer this?
Dear Tweak,
I need a new soundcard can you tell me what's best? I also thought I'd add a compressor, but can't decide, tubes or no? Give me a point by point pro/con you know, tell me all 'cause I'm curious right now, and OH YEAH, I heard something that balanced cables makes win XP crash. True? So why go with XP when two guys I know say 98se is best, can u beat their arguments...maybe I'm just crazy but I think the 'puter thing will drive me crazy--is a multitrack better for me? Please hurry with your answer cause I have a ride to the guitar center in an hour, they have a sale on a mic called "Noyman", ever heard? any good? Are they under $50? If not which is under $50 and sounds just as good? I wanna record audio tracks in reason with it. Possible? Someone said no, but surely they just didn't read their manual. Doncha think? Could U tell me how?
Now would you like to answer that? In writing? If you ask a question like that, I will banish you to noobatory.
There are Newbies and Spoonies (or Noobs and Spoons for short).
A Spoonie is a person who wants to be SPOONFED information, like a little baby. "Open wide, Spoonie, here it comes!". The Spoonie is unwilling to do any work at all. They want all the relevant information spooned into their little mouths where they can spit it out if they don't like it. If the Spoon does not get the information they want, they get mad and throw their baby food all over the place.
A newbie is someone who has a legitimate desire to learn something and is willing to invest some work. They will read articles for background information, do some googling, read previous posts on the subject then they will craft a question.
This site helps newbies. Spoonies may come back when they are ready to be serious.
