I routinely delete all accounts with zero posts. This keeps the spammers out and improves the quality of the board. Once you make a post you can lurk all you want. Don’t wait to make that first post after to register. By tomorrow your account may be gone.
Post in an Excellent Manner
That is ideal forum behavior!
A good post is clear. Concise. Uses punctuation. Breaks major thoughts into paragraphs so it is easy to read. Shows respect and consideration for others. Clearly provides all the background information needed.
Profanity is filtered automatically
To keep this board as clean as possible I have installed profanity filters. These will substitute typical profane words with a phrase. I ask that you refrain from using profanity here at these forums. My site is certified as being safe for young persons. I am also a teacher at a school where this is not permitted and sometimes my students visit. This site is also safe for older persons who do not want to deal with foul-mouthed persons who assault one's intelligence.
Keep it Clean OK?
The forums are not for kids. Know that these forums are expressly designed for studio professionals and serious home studio musicians/producers and those that want to become such. If you are young with a burning desire to produce music I welcome you to participate, assuming you can follow forum rules and can conduct yourself in a mature professional manner.
This site is safe for adult beginners, advanced users, and professionals of all nationalities, sexes, religions and ethnicities. Women as well as men are encouraged to participate.
If you are an adult person who wants a place to ask basic questions without being insulted or embarrassed by some juvenile-acting angry "know it all", you will benefit from these rules. Professionals and advanced users also have questions and you should feel confident that these forums are THE place to ask. I have worked with this stuff a long time and know that nobody has all the answers, but if we work together we can really help each other out and enhance each others' craft.
I go through great pains to maintain this atmosphere, so enjoy it.
This Means DO Respect each other. This also means, for those who must hear it negatively, Do NOT disrespect ANYONE, EVER, no matter how stupid you think they are!
Be respectful, follow the rules. You are often getting top quality advice for free in these forums. Just compare the quality of the answers you get here with other forums. We have many professional studio people here. You are getting a goldmine of information to browse. No one owes you an answer. If you show you are ignoring rules. there is a good chance your question will be unanswered.
